The State of Wisconsin recently released information about Round 3 of the Fast Forward
Training grants. These grants give companies the opportunity to obtain training dollars to build
the skills of existing or new employees.
An informational session about the Round 3 grant opportunities is scheduled for Wednesday,
August 13, 2014 at the St. Croix Valley Job Center from 9:00-11:00 a.m. The session will be
broadcast from Madison to offices across the state and Shelly Harkins from Wisconsin’s Office
of Skills Development will present the information. The Job Center is located at 186 County
Road U, Suite 205 (next to ABC Lumber on the frontage road of Hwy 35 North) in River Falls,
Wisconsin.
The specific grant sectors and deadline dates for Round 3 applications are:
September 23: Manufacturing Occupations; training grants from $5,000 to $400,000
September 30: Construction Trades and Related Occupations & Transportation,
Logistics, and Distribution Occupations; training grants from $5,000 to $400,000
October 7: Financial Services Occupations & Information Technology Occupations;
training grants from $5,000 to $400,000
October 14: Customer Service Occupations; training grants from $5,000 to $400,000
October 21: Agriculture and Related Occupations & Health Care and Related
Occupations; training grants from $5,000 to $400,000, and Small Businesses with 50 or fewer
full-time employees; training grants from $5,000 to $50,000
