MADISON – The Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association (WMBA) presented Make a Difference-Wisconsin (MADW) with a donation from the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association Education Foundation. This is the second year that the WMBA has supported the financial literacy program offered through Make A Difference Wisconsin.

We are proud to partner with MADW in the outreach program. MADW has been very involved in our annual conference which has created a strong and unique partnership with our members and many member companies. Over the past school year, 13 WMBA member companies have volunteered 186 hours with MADW to help promote MADW’s mission to provide financial literacy programs and resources that empower students to make sound financial decisions.

“The WMBA is proud to work with Make a Difference-Wisconsin to provide significant and meaningful community outreach work to educate young people in the Greater Milwaukee Area on sound financial management practices. Those practices are certain to help the next generation pursue the American Dream of home ownership”, said Dave Rouse, President of the WMBA.

In addition to working with MADW, each year the WMBA Education Foundation provides two scholarships to one student at UW-Madison and one student at Marquette University studying Real Estate Finance. Since 2002, the Education Foundation, through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation Fund, has provided scholarships to college students totaling $65,000. The WMBA Education Foundation has also provided $8,500 in scholarships to support the career education of WMBA members.
