MADISON – Jason Lucash, co-founder of OrigAudio and a nationally known entrepreneur whose credentials include landing an investment during an episode of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” will speak at the 11th annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference.

Lucash, who was Entrepreneur magazine’s “Emerging Entrepreneur of 2012,” also landed a spot on Time magazine’s “Top 50 Inventions of 2009” list for OrigAudio’s core audio technology and design. The company now has nine products, with more on the way, and has grown sharply over the past four years.

Produced by the Wisconsin Technology Council, the annual conference is one of the largest events for entrepreneurs and early stage investors in Wisconsin. More than 400 people are expected to attend the two-day conference, to be held June 4-5 at the Marriott West, 1313 John Q. Hammons Drive. Learn more and register at www.WiTrepsConference.com

“We’re excited that Jason can join us for the conference, where he will talk about his startup journey on the morning of June 4th,” said Tom Still, president of the Tech Council. “He will take part in other discussions throughout the day and help judge final presentations in the 10th annual Governor’s Business Plan Contest.”

Additional speakers and features will be announced in coming weeks. Other highlights of the conference will include:

– Fifteen panel discussions built around the themes of “Launch, Grow and Succeed;”

– The Top 12: Finalists in the Governor’s Business Plan Contest square off;

– The Ken Hendricks Memorial “Seize the Day” Award, with the 2013 winner to be announced before the conference;

– On-site exhibits that include Innovation Alley and Demo Kitchen, as well as special tours of leading tech-based businesses in the area;

– Chances to mingle with angel investors from across the Midwest and beyond;

– Plenty of networking over food and refreshments.

The Middleton Tourism Commission and the Middleton Chamber of Commerce worked with the Tech Council to bring the 11th annual conference to Middleton after a successful 10-year run in Milwaukee. The conference will be linked to Milwaukee’s “Flying Car” innovation week in early June.

In addition to the Entrepreneurs’ Conference, the Tech Council’s programs include the Wisconsin Innovation Network, the Wisconsin Angel Network, the Governor’s Business Plan Contest, the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium and the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium. Its 50-member board includes technology, investor and research leaders from across Wisconsin.
