Milwaukee-based companies collaborate to improve customers’ online experience

MILWAUKEE (July 31, 2013) – STIR Advertising & Integrated Messaging along with BlueCo Brands, (formerly King Research) both based in Milwaukee, announced the launch of several linked and interconnected new websites, including: www.bluecobrands.com, www.barbicide.com, www.getluckytiger.com, www.dyzoff.com, www.shipshapecleaner.com and www.shopbluecobrands.com, the company’s e-commerce site.

The websites went live last month after about 8 months of work, and serve a broad audience of barbers, salon/spa owners, salon professionals, beauty schools and cosmetology students, as well as the general public.

The newly enhanced websites are part of an overall rebranding effort designed to provide expanded product information, educational resources, along with an enhanced online store experience for Lucky Tiger products. The concept of creating the other brand sites was to elevate awareness and education of other offerings outside of the well-known Barbicide product.

Keyword research and optimization for each brand was essential because of their unique applications and diverse audiences.

“The redesigned sites help to promote the entire family of brands under the BlueCo Brands umbrella,” said Pete Rathkamp, director of digital strategy at STIR Advertising & Integrated Messaging. “We focused on e-commerce as a whole to create a great experience for users, an easy to navigate family of sites, and a central shopping area to purchase all BlueCo Brands’ products.

Among the new features to the website www.barbicide.com is the “Education and Training” section that provides detailed information on education, training and the BARBICIDE Certification online training program.

“We built the websites with the client in mind, through an easily manageable Content Management System (CMS),” Rathkamp continued. “The client can administer any changes and updates to any of the six sites with one login. This is beneficial because they can make changes as necessary without involving a third party vendor.”
