WISCONSIN – Schenck SC is pleased to announce that Greg Barber, CPA, has been named to succeed Bill Goodman, CPA, as President of the Firm. Barber, an experienced leader in the Upper Midwest public accounting profession, will join Schenck on March 31, 2013 and work closely with Goodman who is retiring on September 30, 2013.
Barber has more than 30 years of experience in the public accounting profession, many in executive leadership positions. “Greg understands the markets we serve and those we want to expand into,” said Goodman, who has served as Schenck’s President since 2003. “Greg’s firsthand knowledge of our profession and significant experience in building practices while focusing on engaging and developing people, position him well as Schenck’s future leader.”
Schenck shareholder Mark Spaeth, CPA, MST, chaired the nominating committee. “Greg brings a consistent track record of achieving profitable growth and has strong people skills,” he said. “We look forward to Greg transitioning into Bill’s position and guiding the continued growth and success of Schenck.”

Barber is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and has been active in a variety of community and professional organizations throughout his career. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
