[Madison, Wis.] Representative Chad Weininger (R – Green Bay) announced his upcoming International Trade and Commerce Roundtable, to be hosted in conjunction with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

The roundtable is open to all greater Green Bay area businesses that have experience in international trade or commerce, are looking to expand into an international market, or are seeking to expand their current presence in the international market.

As Chairman of the Assembly Committee on International Trade and Commerce, Representative Weininger is looking for legislative ideas or suggestions for how the state can work to help businesses tackle the international market.

“While Wisconsin’s trade numbers are excellent, I think there’s more we can be doing,” said Representative Weininger. “I want to meet with businesses actually trying to break into the international market, or have experience doing business internationally, that’s the only way we’ll find out how the state can help or what legislation is needed.”

The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, including Advance, its economic development division, is helping to organize and invite local businesses.

“We have many businesses in the greater Green Bay area that do business internationally, or are interested in doing business internationally,” said Chamber President Laurie Radke. “To be able to have a thoughtful conversation about how the state can help is important to us and it’s important to our members. We’re excited to help with this opportunity.”

The International Trade and Commerce Roundtable will be Thursday, August 15th from 8 AM to 10 AM at the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (300 N. Broadway, GB). To RSVP, please contact Fred Monique at Monique@titletown.org or 920-496-2118.
