MILWAUKEE, Wis. (March 20, 2013) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that David L. Bourne, a partner in the firm’s Milwaukee office has been named a 2013 BTI Client Service All-Star by The BTI Consulting Group, Inc.
This year, 307 individual attorneys from 194 law firms from across the entire United States were named to The 2013 BTI Client Service All-Stars. The honorees are identified as leaders of client service excellence who have impressed corporate counsel with their understanding of business practices and approach to legal services. BTI asked General Counsel and their direct reports to delineate, unprompted, the attorneys who drive superior client relationships. These in-depth telephone interviews determine precisely which attorneys top the charts in client service excellence.
“Embracing a client-focused approach to the practice of law has always been very important to me,” Bourne said. “So to have my clients publicly acknowledge my attempts in this respect — in a field crowded with legal service providers who are all striving to distinguish themselves — is particularly gratifying.”
Bourne is a member of the firm’s Corporate Services Practice Group and the Financial Services Industry Team, where he shares responsibility for coordinating training for other attorneys who practice in this field. His practice concentrates on representing both lenders and borrowers in sophisticated single-lender and syndicated financings. Bourne also has extensive experience with asset-based lending transactions, work-outs, restructurings, international financing, letters of credit, interest rate swap documentation, and third-party legal opinions. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wheaton College.
