Madison, WI – The Madison International Trade Association (MITA) is proud to announce that Jen Pino-Gallagher has been chosen as the organization’s President for the 2013/2014 program year. Ms. Pino-Gallagher has served on MITA’s board of directors since 2007. For the last three years she was MITA’s Communication Director. She currently serves as Director for the Market Development Bureau at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Other officers selected at the MITA July board meeting include:

· Treasurer – Ryan Knaack, Tax Manager at Smith & Gesteland, LLP

· Membership Director – Daniela Branco, Principal at Brazilian Business Outreach LLC
· Sponsorship Director – Mary Regel, Director, Int’l Trade at Bentley World Packaging
· Outreach Communications Director – Aleda Bourassa
· Facilities Coordinator – Barb Roberts

Additional members of the board of directors include Nicole Tointon of Wells Fargo, Ken Wasylik of E.M. Wasylik Associates LLP, and Jim Brunker of M3 Insurance Solutions, Inc. Stanley Pfrang, who served as MITA’s President for the last two years, will remain on the board for one more year as Past President.

Future Programming

“Transportation Logistics: Updates on Rail/Port Infrastructure and Implications for Shipping” will be MITA’s next educational event. Speakers at September 10th luncheon meeting will discuss packaging, shipping, and how changes at various ports will affect movement of goods out of and into the United States.
