Aspiring or current inventors and entrepreneurs plus other like-minded individuals are invited to learn how three area entrepreneurs, working in the trenches of their small businesses, have successfully used low cost, creative and grass roots marketing strategies to promote their products and services. Participating in the panel are Jeff Kahlow, Big Guy Hats of Fond du Lac; Paul Wise, Christianos Pizza of Oshkosh, Green Lake, and Wautoma; and Judy Gauthier, Bungalow Quilting and Yarn of Ripon. The August 13th Club meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Elks Club, 33 Sheboygan Street, Fond du Lac.

The purpose of an Inventors and Entrepreneurs (I&E) Club is to educate, nurture and network area inventors and entrepreneurs. At the I&E Club meetings, people can connect with and learn from peers and others in a fun and supportive environment. People can share ideas, tap into a vast network of resources and help each other. At every meeting, you never know who you will meet that can help you succeed. The I&E Club is free and open to everyone including aspiring and current entrepreneurs, inventors, retired or former business owners, manufacturing reps, investors, entrepreneur support organizations and other like-minded individuals in the Fond du Lac County area, surrounding counties and beyond.

The I&E Club, which was started in May 2013, meets every second Tuesday of each month at the Fond du Lac Elks Club. The Club averages 25-30 people at each meeting. Registration and networking begins at 5:00 p.m. The meeting with speakers commences at 6 p.m. Sharing and networking follow at 7:00 p.m. Attendees can order and pay for dinner at the Elks Club before 6:00 p.m. and a cash bar will be available before, during and after the Club meeting. Anyone wishing to be added to the mailing list to find out about future meeting topics should contact FCEDC at 920-929-2928 or email joann@fcedc.com.
