Seasoned Event and Special Projects Manager and IRONMAN™ Triathlete Will Support Participants and Sponsors and Drive Growth of the Brand

MADISON, Wisc. (August 22, 2013) – Capitol View Events LLC, an organization established to produce high-quality events that promote the growth and development of endurance sports, announced today that it has appointed Jennifer Anderson as Director of Operations. She reports to Chief Executive Officer Jamie Osborn.

Anderson joins Capitol View Events from Johnson Health Tech North America, a fitness equipment manufacturing company where she was a trade show coordinator in the commercial channel, managing all aspects of the company’s involvement in North American trade shows. She had been with that company since 2008, and handled assignments ranging from customer technical support to retail sporting goods account management and training to dealer relations to business development and other responsibilities. Earlier in her career, she was a special projects manager and marketing intern with the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau in Decorah, Iowa.

In joining Capitol View Events, Anderson will focus on elevating the company’s existing programs and developing and executing new ones to further establish the company as a leading producer of endurance sport events. Her earliest activities will center around establishing contact with sponsors, addressing immediate customer service issues, evaluating the company’s marketing position, beginning strategic planning for upcoming events through recruitment of volunteers and team-building, and other steps toward maximizing participation in and results of future events.

Osborn said her professional background combined with her personal passion for endurance sports makes Anderson an ideal and valuable addition to the Capitol View team.

“Jen is a business and marketing expert who is also an endurance enthusiast and triathlon competitor at the IRONMAN™ level. Her energy, experience and enthusiasm will help ensure that our events are executed at an even higher level of quality than people have come to expect from us to date. We’ll look to her to consolidate the popular products we already have and to grow Capitol View Events through innovation and great strategic planning,” he said.

Anderson is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she earned her degree in business management and French. She also was a member of the women’s soccer team and received both academic and athletic grants and awards. She currently resides in Sun Prairie, Wisc. In addition to her career and athletic pursuits, she has devoted hundreds of hours of community service toward helping homeless animals through the Dane County Humane Society.
