Speed Upgrade Marks Progress on AT&T’s Project VIP Investment
MADISON, WIS., Aug. 26, 2013 — AT&T* U-verse® customers can now surf with faster speeds, at a price they can afford. AT&T today announced the availability of U-verse High Speed Internet Power, which brings residential and small business customers speeds of up to 45 Mbps downstream and up to 6 Mbps upstream. U-verse High Speed Internet Power is the fastest speed in Madison for the price.**
“This is our next step in our Project VIP investment plan, and we’re proud to bring customers faster speeds, for a great value,” said AT&T Wisconsin State President Scott T. VanderSanden. “The vast majority of our customers bundle U-verse Internet and TV because it gives them a better experience, with faster speeds that fit their needs, at an affordable price. We look forward to bringing wired IP services and faster speeds to more customers in the future.”
AT&T’s expansion of faster U-verse Internet speeds is part of AT&T’s Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan announced last fall to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks. Through this investment, AT&T is supporting its customers’ growing desire for high-speed Internet access and new mobile, app and cloud-based services. Also, as part of Project VIP, AT&T plans to upgrade top tier U-verse speeds to up to 100 Mbps in the future.
AT&T U-verse Power is available to eligible residential customers at introductory rates as low as $49.95*** per month for up to 24 months bundled with qualifying TV and voice services. Current, eligible U-verse Internet residential customers can upgrade their package and receive $10 off their bill for 12 months. Customers can get more information at att.com/uverse.
Small businesses interested in U-verse Power pricing and packages can call 800-321-2000; go to att.com/smallbusiness; or contact their authorized AT&T sales representative. In addition, small businesses can purchase Business U-verse TV packages, which include promotional pricing available through December 2013.
