Assurant Health Promotes Sales and Marketing Veteran to Senior Vice President-Executive Sales Officer
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Assurant Health, a national provider of major medical, fixed-benefit and supplemental health insurance products, announces the promotion of Charles Steele to senior vice president-executive sales officer.
In his new role, Steele will be responsible for developing, expanding and enhancing Assurant Health’s distribution capabilities to grow sales. Steele previously was vice president-sales.
Steele, who joined Assurant Health in 2005, has held leadership positions in marketing, product and sales areas, and has been involved in a number of significant product launches, new distribution partnerships and strategic business opportunities. He has played a key role in enhancing the structure, processes and capabilities of the Regional Sales Director channel and has worked to expand the Managing General Agent (MGA) channel to support the addition of Assurant Health’s new partners as it grows its national distribution capabilities.
Steele has a bachelor’s in history from Whitman College and an MBA from the University of Denver. Prior to joining Assurant Health, Steele worked for GreatWest Healthcare, now part of Cigna, for 15 years.
