MADISON – The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) today announced that Ms. Morna Foy has been selected as the 12th president of the WTCS. She becomes the first woman to serve in this capacity in the 100-year history of the WTCS and will begin as president in January 2013.
Ms. Foy’s appointment as president builds on her more than 20 years of experience working in Wisconsin State Government, including almost 15 years with the WTCS. She began her career in Wisconsin government with the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau before becoming a Policy Advisor/Federal Relations Officer for the WTCS. Since 2005, she has served as the WTCS Executive Assistant and Vice President of Policy and Government Relations. In this capacity, she was responsible for executive duties on behalf of the System President and Governing Board, directs the System’s legislative relations, budget development, communications, strategic planning and policy development.
