WI Potato Recipe Contest Offers Chance to Win Williams-Sonoma Gift Cards

Antigo, WI – December 5, 2012 – Every New Year, millions of people resolve to start the year right by focusing on a healthier lifestyle. This year, the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) encourages everyone to start the year right by starting each day right – with healthy Wisconsin potatoes for breakfast. Potatoes are low in calories, fat-free, gluten-free and are rich in fiber, potassium and calcium. They’re a healthy breakfast option that fills you up and gives you the energy to put your best foot forward each day.

The WPVGA is looking for the Breakfast of Champions champion by holding a recipe contest. Consumers can submit their favorite breakfast recipe featuring Wisconsin potatoes at www.eatwisconsinpotatoes.com by January 4, 2013.

The Breakfast of Champions champion will receive a $400 gift card from Williams-Sonoma. Second and third place winners will earn $150 and $100 gift cards, respectively, to their favorite grocery store.

Consumers can also rate theirr favorite Breakfast of Champions potato recipe at www.eatwisconsinpotatoes.com from January 5-25, 2013. Doing so will enter their name into a drawing for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate from Williams-Sonoma.
