Wisconsin Ratepayers Benefit from the Use of Renewable Energy

The Wisconsin Energy Business Association (WEBA) delivered a report to legislators today outlining the benefits that renewable energy, including wind, solar, biogas, and biomass, has on Wisconsin ratepayers. The attached report highlights the key drivers of electric rate increases in Wisconsin and notes that sources of renewable energy provide relief and stability to ratepayers.

“Claims that renewable energy is to blame for an increase in electric bills could not be further from the truth,” said Ryan Harkins, Project Manager at Synergy Renewable Systems, a renewable energy design and installation company in Stoughton. “To ensure that our state breaks away from its dependency on fossil fuels – and subsequent rate increases – we must embrace the widespread benefits of clean energy, not push them away.”
