WisBusiness: Tech company plans to move HQ to Wisconsin, create 105 jobs

Connecture CEO Doug Schneider said his firm made the decision to base its headquarters in Wisconsin because of “collaboration with the governor and his team.”

The state is offering the firm up to $1.2 million in tax credits for the creation of up to 105 jobs within the next three years, said Connecture President Dan Maynard.

Connecture is a health insurance software company that announced Monday it’s creating 100 jobs for software developers, business managers and quality assurance analysts, including senior management jobs, with some paying around $85,000 a year.

Gov. Scott Walker praised Connecture during the jobs announcement, saying that “It’s not just the 100 jobs, it’s the investment in Wisconsin, the commitment to this state.”

These are “well-paying, career-building jobs,” Walker said, adding it’s an indication of an improved business climate in Wisconsin.

Connecture’s Maynard referenced Walker’s recent “adversity” but said “true leaders manage and mold the adversity for the welfare of those they serve and Governor Walker demonstrated his vision when he worked with Connecture to encourage our company to come back to Wisconsin.”
