Corporation to share its impact on job creation, profits, investment; how innovation fuels economic development
(April, 2011…Pewaukee, WI) The Waukesha Economic Development Corporation (WCEDC), with the Community Chambers of Waukesha County, will hold its Annual Meeting May 1, from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Waukesha County Expo Center. WCEDC encourages all business leaders, professionals, employees, government officials, civic and community leaders to attend this opportunity to network and hear about the jobs and investment being created in Waukesha County. County Executive Daniel P. Vrakas and more than 200 CEOs, business leaders & professionals are expected to attend. The meeting will highlight the impact that WCEDC has made on job creation, profits and investment in Waukesha County and share its vision as the primary entity in the County specifically and solely dedicated to economic development. In addition, the meeting will celebrate innovation, and feature several companies whose innovations have positioned them for jobs, profits and continued growth:

CEOs, R&D professionals and engineers from these companies will be on hand to discuss their innovations and how they directly relate to growth and profit. WCEDC is proud to have directly assisted five of these six companies.
With small business such a vital part of economic health, WCEDC has been working in partnership with the Community Chambers of Waukesha County (CCWC) and their members. The CCWC have played a role in supporting and planning the Annual Meeting – a demonstration of the kinds of relationships and partnerships that are necessary for economic development.
“Deals get done when partnerships and relationships are strong – our partnership with the Community Chambers of Waukesha County is a perfect example of how WCEDC looks for opportunities to partner for the benefit of business in the County, and I believe it is a unique relationship,” said Bill Mitchell, Executive Director of WCEDC. “I am very excited to share the impact we’ve made on jobs and investment in the County – we all could use some good news about our economy, and it’s my job to keep bringing the good news,” Mitchell said.
The Community Chambers of Waukesha County is group of Chamber professionals committed to partnering on business growth and job creation. The group is comprised of leaders of the Brookfield, Delafield, Mukwanago, Muskego, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee and Sussex Chambers.
