MADISON – What qualities would you like to see in the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison? The committee tasked with identifying the best candidates to become the campus’s new leader wants to know.
The chancellor search and screen committee is holding a forum at the Gordon Dining and Event Center, 770 W. Dayton St., on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The meeting will be on the center’s second level. All members of the campus community and the general public are encouraged to attend and should enter from East Campus Mall.
Views on the search can also be submitted via Twitter by using the hashtag #uwsearch, or via email to chancellor-search@secfac.wisc.edu.
Applications for the position must be received by Dec. 21.
The search timetable calls for the committee to identify at least five qualified candidates in February. The list of finalists will be presented to UW System President Kevin Reilly and the Special Regents Committee, who then will make a recommendation to the full Board of Regents. It is expected that the regents will vote in April on Interim Chancellor David Ward’s successor. The new chancellor would then begin July 1, 2013.
