The Boldt Company: Boldt’s Nick Mueller elected as WGBA President

Nick Mueller, a project manager at The Boldt Company, has been elected as
president of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA) by its board of
directors. The WGBA is a non-profit, educational organization that
facilitates and promotes ecologically sustainable practices within
Wisconsin’s built environment.

“Sustainability in construction is an important issue to me and I’m proud
to be part of an organization devoted to educating others about the topic,”
said Mueller. “I’m honored to serve as president and I look forward to
leading the alliance and its programs to continued growth in Wisconsin.”

Prior to becoming president, Mueller served for two years as secretary on
the WGBA’s board of directors. Mueller said he’s had a lifelong interest in
sustainable construction—an interest that has brought him valuable
experience he will use in his new role at the WGBA, including:

Created Boldt’s tracking process for Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) building certification
LEED Accredited Professional (program info)
Heavily involved in some of Boldt’s “greenest” projects including
ThedaCare Physicians Darboy clinic (LEED Gold), Lawrence University’s
Warch Campus Center (LEED Gold) and Lakeland College’s campus master
plan
Undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture from UW-Milwaukee’s
School of Architecture & Urban Planning

In addition to his involvement with the WGBA, Mueller is currently on the
Northeast Wisconsin Steering Committee and speaks at conferences across the
country on issues related to sustainable construction.

The WGBA is an affiliate of the US Green Building Council.
