Board seeks to influence direction, strategy in small business market

MADISON, Wis. (July 11, 2012) — Tom Canfield, vice president of Commercial Marketing and Product Development for TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®) has accepted a position on Cisco Systems’ Small Business Executive Exchange Advisory Board (SBEE).

Cisco executives and senior management teams meet with board members twice a year. The group focuses on interactive dialogue surrounding the development of small business products, solutions, services, marketing programs, tools, and initiatives.

“I’m honored to be part of the SBEE advisory board,” says Canfield. “This is a great opportunity to work with Cisco, a valued TDS partner, and to advocate on behalf of our customers. I’m looking forward to having direct input on the new technologies and products Cisco introduces for small businesses across the country.”

The cornerstone of the SBEE is the opportunity to influence Cisco’s overall strategy and future direction in the small business segment. Out of over 50,000 partners nationwide, the SBEE advisory board is comprised of 38 members. Canfield joined TDS in 1986 and has held a variety of executive leadership positions within the company. Canfield works out of the TDS office on Junction Road in Madison, Wis. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Wayne State University.
