MILWAUKEE, Wis. (October 26, 2012) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that the firm and the Fellowship Open were awarded the 2012 Community Service Award from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (“MCSO”).

The Community Service Award recognized the Fellowship Open’s 2012 pledge for financial support of the MCSO’s signature “Shop with a Cop” program. The “Shop with a Cop” program foster’s positive relationships between young people in the community and the Sheriff’s department by providing underserved youth with a day filled with shopping, breakfast and other holiday activities with local law enforcement. Quarles & Brady Chairman and Fellowship Open Honorary Committee Chairman, John W. Daniels Jr. accepted the award on behalf of the firm and the Fellowship Open at MSCO’s Ninth Annual Awards Ceremony luncheon on September 27 in Milwaukee.

“The firm and Fellowship Open are thrilled to be recognized for our tremendous efforts to support Milwaukee’s young people,” said Daniels. “For over a decade, we have been dedicated to helping make the lives of this community’s youth better and we will continue this effort for many years to come.”

About the Fellowship Open

The Fellowship Open’s principal objective is to work, support and highlight organizations which are having a meaningful and demonstrable difference on the lives of youth in the City of Milwaukee. Each year, the Fellowship Open financially supports Milwaukee-area organizations with funds to help them continue their work in the advancement of Milwaukee youth. Annually, a group of Milwaukee youth are invited to participate at the annual Fellowship Open golf event and meet with the honorary chairs of the event. The activities that the Fellowship Open has supported have impacted thousands of Milwaukee youth in all aspects of their development, including the arts, technology, job skills and job readiness.
