MADISON, Wis. — Adults can find their inner child at Madison Children’s Museum with the Literary Adult Swim: A Wisconsin Book Festival Party, presented by Excellence in Dentistry, Saturday, November 10, 6-10:00 p.m. No reading glasses are required for this grown-up book bash that celebrates the 2012 Wisconsin Book Festival.

November’s Adult Swim event features music by The Sills, light shows by PakaPaka Lightshow and DJ Doctor Oxygnen, and a WBF-Exclusive Premiere of “The Possessed: The Sock Puppet Musical”. Event goers can meet some of the festival’s featured authors, make video animated flip-book souvenirs, and hear Maya Stein share her adventures from her recent cross-country cycling and poetry project.

Honoring the public pool tradition, the museum is cleared of kids for Adult Swim, leaving the facility open to adults only for the night. More than 500 people attend, but a limited number of tickets are available. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at MadisonChildrensMuseum.org until 4 p.m. the day of the event, or at the door for the same price.

Adult Swim is a great event to attend with family, friends, coworkers. Wine, beer, and Roman Candle pizza will be available for purchase. Adults 21 and up are welcome; a valid ID will be required to enter the event.

Can’t make the date? The next Adult Swim takes place January 18 with a Caribbean Cruise theme.
