MILWAUKEE – Kahler Slater, a Milwaukee-based, award-winning architecture and experience design firm, has been hired to provide programming and design services for the University of Utah’s new School of Dentistry in Salt Lake City. The firm will partner on the project with MHTN Architects, based in Salt Lake City.

The approximately 70,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in time for the fall 2014 term.

Kahler Slater and MHTN Architect’s first step in the process will be to develop a project vision and program for the school, working with the University of Utah and School of Dentistry teams to set such parameters as the number, types and sizes of rooms required.

This is the second new dental school that Kahler Slater has been hired to help design and plan this year. The firm is also helping design and plan the University of New England’s new Oral Health Center and Inter-Professional Education Clinic in Portland, Maine, working in association with Port City Architecture of Portland.
