At Vilas Zoo’s New Henry’s Sub and Ice Cream Shoppe
MADISON (May 29, 2012) – Order mouth-watering, made-to-order sub sandwiches featuring all-natural deli meats and fixings on freshly baked bread. Or make it a meal with chips and a drink. Follow it up with an ice cream cone, cookie sundae, or root beer float. All that and more (see attached full menu) is available at Henry’s Sub and Ice Cream Shoppe—and best of all—your purchases directly support Henry Vilas Zoo.
Already zoo guests are singing the praises of the new shoppe’s tasty treats. “It’s always fun to have a hot dog or something at the zoo, but I appreciate also being able to buy fresh sandwiches and delicious ice cream,” says frequent zoo visitor (name). “And I like knowing that my dollars help take care of the zoo’s animals—the red panda is my favorite.”
You’ll find Henry’s Subs and Ice Cream Shoppe, and your favorites are still available at the zoo’s concession stands. “We wanted to give our visitors the option to sit down and eat a nice, nutritious lunch,” says Anna Reynolds, executive director, Friends of the Zoo. “It’s great to see people enjoying themselves at Henry’s, and the zoo can certainly use the support.”
