MILWAUKEE (Dec. 20, 2012) — Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce the addition of 10 new attorney associates to the firm’s Business Finance & Restructuring, Corporate, Labor & Employment, Litigation, Real Estate and Securities Practice Groups.

Thomas A. Bausch has joined the firm’s Securities Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Bausch earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Wisconsin International Law Journal. He earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Marquette University and his master’s degree from McGill University (Montreal, Canada). Prior to joining the firm, Bausch worked as a law clerk for a Madison area litigation firm. He also worked on the Oxford Federal Project, representing federal prisoners in civil and criminal claims including: post-conviction relief and appeals, drafting appellate briefs and conducting research. Prior to law school, he volunteered in Ecuador for a year and spent several years working on the crisis mitigation and response team for a Washington, D.C. based international development consulting firm.

Nina G. Beck has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and was note & comment editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. Beck also received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, she worked as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly and as a law clerk for a local bankruptcy firm. She also served as a student attorney with the UW Law School Consumer Law Litigation Clinic, where she advised clients on a variety of consumer law matters and represented clients in settlement negotiations.

Kerry L. Gabrielson has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office. Gabrielson earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she was note & comment editor for the Wisconsin Law Review, president of the Mock Trial Team and vice president of the Heffernan Moot Court competition. She also earned her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Gabrielson was a law clerk for the Public Service Commission and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ann Walsh Bradley at the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Rebecca M. Lopez has joined the firm’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University where she was Business Editor of the Marquette University Law Review. Lopez also received her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked at the United States Federal District Court for Judge Lynn S. Adelman and volunteered with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, where she assisted with legal research and Spanish-to-English translations for area attorneys. In addition, Lopez was a regional coordinator and an office manager for U.S. Senator Russ Feingold in his Milwaukee District Office where she managed immigration casework, handled constituent services and coordinated outreach efforts in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Michael S. Mather has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he was managing editor of the Wisconsin International Law Journal and a member of the executive board of the University of Wisconsin Law School Moot Court Board. Mather received his bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, he worked as a legal intern for the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and in the Civil Litigation Unit of the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Shannon Pitsch has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., with honors, from George Washington University and received her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Pitsch worked as a student trial attorney for the Family Justice Litigation Clinic, where she assisted in the handling of litigation matters under supervision, and represented clients in the Family and Domestic Violence Divisions of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She also served as a law clerk for a firm in Maryland, where she drafted interrogatories, requests for production of documents, motions to compel evidence, complaints in employment discrimination and family law cases, and researched standards for family and employment law in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she was a judicial intern for the Honorable Natalia Combs-Greene, in the Superior Court Civil Division of the District of Columbia.

Robert J. Shepard has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and articles editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. In addition, Shepard was president of the Business and Tax Law Association. He received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Prior to joining the firm, Shepard served as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Paul F. Reilly.

Danny S. Tang has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in the Madison office. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tang was a recipient of Godfrey & Kahn’s fellowship and worked as a summer associate for the firm during law school. During his undergraduate studies, Tang performed market analysis for emerging businesses and advised them in market strategy and business development.

Jennifer L. Vandermeuse has joined the firm’s Business Finance & Restructuring Practice Group in the firm’s Madison office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board and was a teaching assistant with the Legal Research and Writing program. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining the firm, Vandermeuse was a judicial intern to Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson and a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Robert D. Martin of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

Adam N. Ziebell has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the firm’s Milwaukee office. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and managing editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. Ziebell received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial intern to Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He also worked as a summer associate for Godfrey & Kahn.
