Tuesday Event to Send Critical Message to Lawmakers: Pass the mining bill

(MADISON) – A coalition of labor unions will be rallying tomorrow, Tuesday, March 6, at the state Capitol before they meet with legislators to push for passage of mining legislation that will ultimately create thousands of Wisconsin jobs. The event comes on the heels of a historic written agreement between Gogebic Taconite LLC and five unions guaranteeing a majority of jobs created by the proposed mine would be filled by in-state workers.
