June 4, 2012.

Join us for a seminar on how to prepare for the new retirement plan fee disclosure rules, which make the fees associated with 401(k) and 403(b) plans more transparent. The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) will start enforcing the rules at the plan level on July 1, 2012.

This event will educate plan sponsors and fiduciaries on how to evaluate service providers of their companies’ retirement plans in light of the new Department of Labor rules on retirement plan fee disclosures. We’ll describe the typical services provided to a retirement plan, and how various service providers currently disclose those fees. In addition, we’ll talk about prohibited transactions and ways to avoid excise taxes.

Benchmark your retirement plan

If requested, we will provide you with a complimentary benchmarking analysis of your plan. The report could help identify potential compliance issues, and compare your plan to other similar sized plans in the country and your industry.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Identify the typical costs incurred by a retirement plan
• Understand what you must do with the fee disclosure information
• Understand the analytics of how to evaluate whether the fees being charged to your plan are reasonable
• Take steps to avoid a prohibited transaction and being charged excise taxes

Who should attend

Any business owner, retirement plan trustee, human resources director, or other company officer that is a retirement plan fiduciary.
