MILWAUKEE (10/25/12) – Tricia Geraghty has been named as the first corporate vice president for Marketing and Public Relations at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, effective Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Geraghty currently is the vice president of Marketing and Communication at Marquette University. She has been responsible for comprehensive brand and marketing strategy at the university since 2001 and was the first vice president for marketing in the institution’s history, a role she helped create in 2005. During Geraghty’s leadership, the university launched its first brand marketing effort under the tagline, “Marquette University. Be The Difference.” Her efforts have helped elevate the university’s academic reputation, establish the university as a national leader in social media, expand the geographic reach of Marquette’s brand, and bring new and innovative ideas for working with prospective students, alumni and benefactors.

“Tricia will be responsible for the comprehensive marketing strategy for Children’s Hospital in alignment with our strategic plan. She will help us further define and implement a marketing plan that strengthens our market position locally, regionally and nationally, and that inspires support for Children’s Hospital as one of our community’s greatest assets,” said Peggy Troy, MSN, RN, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital and Health System. “I am delighted to have Tricia on board to help us deliver our mission of caring for children.”

Geraghty, who resides in Whitefish Bay, Wis., is an active community volunteer who has been recognized as one of The Business Journal’s Forty Under Forty and as one of Milwaukee Magazine’s 35 Faces of the Future. She holds a master’s in Business Administration from University of Chicago-Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
