Manitowoc, Wisconsin – (December 3, 2012) – The Cher-Make Sausage Company announced today that the recent fire at an outside storage building will not change or hinder the operations in the main plant or office area. The building that was destroyed was used primarily for storage of items not critical to company operations.

Tom Chermak, Company President made the following statement: “I’d like to thank the quick and professional response from the Manitowoc Fire and Police Departments. All damage was limited to nonessential facilities, and we will continue producing products as usual.” Mr. Chermak also noted that he appreciated the offers from his suppliers and venders to help out in any way possible to keep the Cher-Make products flowing as we head toward the holiday season. “We are glad to be a part of the Manitowoc community, and will take the opportunity to rebuild where needed to make the company even stronger.”

Founded by Emil Chermak in 1928, the Cher-Make Sausage Company serves the branded, private label, co-pak and foodservice industry with products throughout North America from their plant in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
