BWBR: Architecture firm BWBR expands in Wisconsin with new Madison office

MADISON, Wis. — BWBR, a Saint Paul, Minn.-based design solutions firm, has opened a new Wisconsin office in Madison at 1241 John Q. Hammons Drive.

The 90-year-old firm, offering architecture, interior design, and master and strategic planning, has a decades-long history of working with Wisconsin public and private sector clients. Recent projects include the addition and renovation of Jarvis Hall at University of Wisconsin-Stout, the new Behavioral Health Center at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital and Clinic and a replacement hospital for Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.

“Our further expansion into Wisconsin simply makes sense given our partnership with clients not only in northwest Wisconsin, but throughout the state,” said Peter G. Smith, AIA, president and CEO of BWBR.

“Outdated and inefficient spaces and facilities are costing organizations so much in lost productivity and operations. Many organizations in Wisconsin are tackling building projects to correct that. We focus on an organization’s goals to create designs that enhance what they do, whether its delivering better health care or creating better environments for learning,” said Tom Hanley, AIA, LEED AP, managing principal for BWBR’s Madison office.

One of the Upper Midwest’s oldest and most prestigious firms, BWBR has established its reputation for project management, service and quality designing complex facilities in the health care, higher education, justice, government, corporate, manufacturing, transportation, religious, and recreational markets.

Joining Hanley leading work out of the Madison office will be Tim Sessions, AIA, and John Strachota, AIA, LEED A.P., longtime principals at BWBR with extensive experience in the public sector, health care, and higher education.
