Milwaukee, Wisconsin, October 9, 2012— Caterpillar’s acquisition of Bucyrus International was major global news in the mining industry as well as in the general business world. Blending the best of two market leaders into a stronger unified culture is no small task. Keynote speaker Tony Johnson, Marketing manager of Caterpillar Global Mining is going to explain how he engineered the merger from a marketing standpoint. Johnson will be presenting “Marketing a Major Transition, the Caterpillar Acquisition of Bucyrus” on Thursday, October 11th.

To help B2B marketers apply this concept within their organizations, the presentation will center around two district topics: communicating change in the organization and how marketing facilitates change. Caterpillar will share how it planned for and managed the transition quickly and efficiently. The seminar led by Aili Tran, Division Communications, Caterpillar Global Mining will precede Johnson’s keynote presentation and cover the critical role of employee communications in managing large business transitions for B2B organizations.

“BMA-Milwaukee is thrilled to bring yet another quality speaker to our members. Mr. Johnson is not only an engaging speaker, but has knowledge on marketing acquisitions from a globalized perspective” said BMA President Siobhan Marks.

The event will take place at The Grain Exchange, located at 225 E. Michigan St in Milwaukee starting at 5PM. Register for the event online at http://www.bma-milwaukee.org/events/2012/10/marketing-a-major-transition-the-caterpillar-acquisition-of-bucyrus.
