WTBA: Tom Walker passes away

Transportation advocates from Wisconsin and across the country lost an influential voice Saturday night when Tom Walker of the WI Transportation Builders Association (WTBA) passed away at a Madison rehabilitation center, where he was recovering after recent surgery. He was 66.

Tom leaves a lengthy transportation legacy – having worked at the Transportation Development Assn. of WI, the WI Department of Transportation and WTBA. Tom’s influence is evident throughout state and federal transportation law, and he was nationally respected for his fiscal and policy expertise.
