WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Tom Lochner, executive director of the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association, today released the following statement in support of the announcement to implement the “Enterprise Agency” pilot program at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

“The Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association appreciates the efforts of Governor Scott Walker and Secretary Cathy Stepp to improve the efficiency of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

“Wisconsin cranberry growers produce the majority of the world’s cranberries, and our continued access to water and our commitment to maintaining superb water quality in Wisconsin are critical to our ability to succeed in the global marketplace. We fully support improving the DNR processes through which permits are issued, and we appreciate efforts to speed up and improve the quality of the Department’s permitting processes. Our farmers depend on a reliable and accessible DNR.”
