Milwaukee – June 24, 2011 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) is pleased to announce that the Wisconsin Law Journal has chosen two of its attorneys, Lynda R. Templen and Kim Marie Wynn, as 2011 Women in the Law. Women in the Law honorees are recognized for their outstanding achievement in the practice of law.

Templen is a shareholder in WHD’s Milwaukee office and is the firm’s Vice President of Legal Services. Widely recognized by her peers as one of the preeminent bond lawyers in the state, she focuses her practice in the area of public finance and has extensive bond/tax experience with a variety of industrial revenue bond structures, including variable and fixed rate tax-exempt bonds, taxable convertible bonds and taxable notes. Templen is the lead attorney for numerous general obligation bond issues and the majority of WHD’s municipal and school district bond counsel engagements. Templen, who has been involved in bond deals totaling more than $12 billion, was one of the attorneys instrumental in developing Midwest Disaster Area Bonds state regulations with the Department of Commerce. She also worked tirelessly with the state legislature, counties and others to make Recovery Zone Bonds, a bond program aimed at economic recovery, which came from the stimulus package, more available throughout the state.

Wynn, who is also a shareholder in the Milwaukee office, has negotiated and closed a wide range of commercial loan, real estate and other commercial transactions. Wynn has written and spoken on many topics of interest to lenders and their counsel. Past Chair of the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Corporate, Banking and Business Section, she has been selected for inclusion every year since 2007 as one of the Best Lawyers in America in banking law—and is the only woman listed in this category for Milwaukee. Wynn is also very active in the community, most notably as a leader of Tempo-Milwaukee, where she orchestrated the development of a series of programs designed to assist members in their continued professional growth and career development. She has served as a member of the Board of the Parenting Network, a child abuse prevention agency in Milwaukee, and continues to serve on its Development Committee.

“WHD is very proud of the accomplishments of both Kim and Lynda,” said Chief Executive Paul Eberle. “They have demonstrated an immeasurable commitment to the firm, their clients as well as their community.

The 2011 Women in the Law honorees were recognized at a dinner at Milwaukee’s Pfister Hotel on June 23.
