The Women’s Center: General Electric helps The Women’s Center

For over 34 years, The Women’s Center of Waukesha has provided safety, shelter & support to women & their families in Southeast Wisconsin that have been affected by domestic violence.

Recently, General Electric of Waukesha employees with their family & friends painted the Sister House Emergency Shelter, staff offices, & hallways at The Women’s Center. The General Electric volunteer group also generously donated cleaning supplies for the painting project. This renovation helps provide a clean & comfortable environment for our Clients utilizing programs & services at the Center.

The Women’s Center provides emergency shelter, transitional living, group & individual counseling, onsite childcare, child abuse prevention programming, legal advocacy & employment counseling. Each year over 1,700 individuals are helped, free of charge, through this specially-designed, comprehensive range of services.
