Local tour operator reaches a global audience with destination-specific marketing

Milwaukee, WI USA – Scopia Technologies, creator of the on-line travel search engine, goscopia.com has contracted with its first advertiser, Ezop Travel, a leading tour operator serving international travelers throughout Turkey. Ezop Travel has requested destination-specific advertising associated with nine Turkish airports. Travelers searching any destination near these airports will see Ezop Travel listed as a transportation solution in that area.

GoScopia.com is in the beta phase of its development. Currently, visitors can use the site to search for intermodal travel options at their destination. Beyond simple airport listing, Scopia offers multiple options for taxis, busses, trains, ferries and other modes of transportation available to the traveler. It is also designed to offer travel services and travel-related products visitors can use for their trips.

The advertising approach of the site is simple — Advertisers have the opportunity choose the destinations with which they want their products or services associated as well as the market in which their advertisements will be displayed. They also have the opportunity to purchase search terms the Scopia visitors may use as they navigate the site. While the approach is simple, the technology driving it is anything but that. The proprietary algorithms that aggregate airport, rail, ferry, car, bus and other transportation modes and corresponding schedules, and the ability to return search results in 10 seconds or less is technology that has been in development for 5 years.
