MADISON, Wis. (February 16, 2011) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Stephen J. Gardner has joined the Firm’s Madison office as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group.

Mr. Gardner’s previous experience includes serving as a law clerk to Chief Judge Edward J. Damich of the United States Court of Federal Claims and practicing at a large Washington, D.C. area firm, where he focused on global patent litigation and patent prosecution. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in computer engineering.
