MILWAUKEE, Wis. (October 19, 2011) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Julianna Ebert, a senior partner in Public Finance Group of the Firm’s Milwaukee office, was selected to receive the Frederick O. Kiel Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) Board of Directors.
Established in 2002, the Distinguished Service Award is awarded in recognition of the extraordinary service its recipients have provided to NABL over an extended period of time. Ms. Ebert served NABL in many capacities, most recently as editor of The Bond Lawyer. She was presented her award at the 36th Bond Attorney’s Workshop on Wednesday, October 12 in San Antonio.
Ms. Ebert is a past president of NABL, and in 1999 received the Bernard P. Friel Medal for distinguished service in public finance. Ms. Ebert is also a fellow in the American College of Bond Counsel.
Ms. Ebert’s practice includes serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer’s counsel or special counsel to Wisconsin municipalities, counties, school districts and other political subdivisions as well as the State of Wisconsin for general obligation issues, revenue bond issues, tax incremental financing issues, tax/revenue/grant anticipation issues and special assessment bond issues. She received her law degree from Marquette University and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University.
