Madison College: Training offered to help Wisconsin businesses with government contracting

Madison College is hosting two seminars that will help area businesses learn how to market to the federal government and create an offer to a federal government solicitation on Wednesday, January 19th in Madison, 302 South Gammon Road. The training session will be conducted by the Business Procurement Assistance Center (BPAC) of Madison College.

“Finding Federal Opportunities – Computer Lab” will be held in the morning from 9:00am-12:00pm. The first half of the training will be devoted to providing tips and techniques on how to search the Internet and government websites. During the second half of the workshop, go online to locate government contracting opportunities targeted to your business. Some topics include, where government agencies advertise for the products and services they need, and which agencies buy what products and/or services. The fee for this seminar is $35.00 per person.

“Marketing to the Federal Government” will be held in the afternoon from 1:00 – 3:30pm. Attendees will learn how marketing to the federal government differs from marketing in the commercial sector, how to develop a marketing action plan, various strategies on partnering/networking, along with some marketing tips and techniques. The fee for this seminar is $35.00 per person.
