Madison–Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch will host a Small Business Roundtable in Platteville on Tuesday, May 17 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 pm at the First National Bank Community Room located at 10 Keystone Parkway. The Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce has organized this event for the Lt Governor who is serving as Governor Walker’s sounding board on small business issues and is tasked with providing input and recommendations to improve the business climate in Wisconsin. Governor Walker’s focus is to catalyze the private sector for job growth, and to create the conditions for small businesses and entrepreneurs to adapt and thrive.

The Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce has invited local business owners and leaders to the roundtable discussion with Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch so they may discuss ways in which the Badger State’s small businesses can move our economy forward and create jobs for Wisconsin workers.

“Small businesses are the engine of our economy in Wisconsin and I’m looking forward to a good discussion about the challenges our small businesses face in this highly challenged economy,” said Lt. Governor Kleefisch. “The input we receive will be vital in resolving the economic challenges they face so we can restore our economy and put our people back to work.”

“We are so pleased that the Lt. Governor has reached out to our community to participate in one of the Small Business Roundtables she is coordinating around the State. We are excited that our small businesses will have the unique opportunity to visit one-on-one with our Lt. Governor, “ said Kathy Kopp, Executive Director of the Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Immediately following the roundtable discussion, Lt Governor Kleefisch will be touring L & M Corrugated Container Corporation, 32 Insight Drive in Platteville.
