InPro is one of a select group of companies to earn the designation of “Green Master,” the highest tier in the Green Masters Program established by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. As a Green Master, InPro has performed actions in each of nine “sustainability areas,” and has scored in the top twenty percent of all participating companies.

“InPro has been a leader in sustainability since they participated as a pilot company in the Smart Business Forum,” says Tom Eggert, Executive Director of the WI Sustainable Business Council. “They have leveraged their early commitment to sustainability to carve out a market leading niche in green building products.”

“InPro is honored to earn Green Master status under the Green Masters Program,” said Dan Gumieny, chairperson of the Sustainable Business Practices Committee. “It reaffirms our commitment to minimizing our impact and making sustainability a companywide culture-changing effort.”

Founded in 1979, InPro Corporation was the first company in its industry to introduce green building products. The company maintains its pioneering spirit by continually expanding its offering of green architectural products. Since 2009, the company has implemented more than 60 measurable sustainable initiatives. A few notable accomplishments include a prairie-restoration project to eliminate landscape irrigation and mowing; replacing 40 hi-flow toilets to save over 950,000 gallons of water per year; and replacing almost 200,000 Styrofoam cups per year with less than 20,000 enviro cups. InPro continues to develop new green building products and materials. The result reflects InPro’s commitment to green architecture and benefits their customers in providing green building materials that may contribute to LEED® credit.

Applicants to the Green Masters Program are judged on a comprehensive range of sustainability issues, from energy and water use to educational outreach and governance. Over 90 Wisconsin businesses have participated in the program where the top twenty percent achieve the highest “Green Master” designation.
