Madison–Today Assembly Bill (AB) 2, legislation that creates eight new enterprise zones, passed the Legislature with bipartisan approval.
“I am glad the Legislature authorized additional enterprise zones to help spur private sector job growth,” said Governor Scott Walker. “The creation of additional zones will help us reach our goal of a private sector environment that creates 250,000 jobs over the next four years. It’s good that Republicans, Democrats, and an Independent were able to come together to support this pro-jobs legislation.”
