Milwaukee, WI, USA: Scopia Technologies LLC, creator of the online travel search engine GoScopia (http://www.goscopia.com) announced a new feature in its intermodal trip planning capabilities: An “air taxi” category that is displayed at more than 10,000 airports worldwide and quickly tells the user which air taxi or private jet companies serve a specific airport. Currently, the OneSky Jets Charter Service is being displayed with all the airports they serve, and several other air charter and air taxi services are expressing interest in having their services listed as part of the GoScopia search engine. The air taxi category joins other categories, including scheduled airlines, airport lounges, car and other rentals, transfers, “park and fly” hotels and airport parking reservations.

For the first time in the history of on-line travel, users can see both scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from a particular airport.” said Jim Graziano, CMO for Scopia Technologies LLC. “This unprecedented feature will be of particular interest to the business traveler, or that individual’s company, as more business travelers are choosing the convenience and efficiency of chartered flights.”

In addition to showing the nearest airports, GoScopia.com also shows public rail, bus and ferry transportation options in over 150 cities worldwide, the company is continuously adding new cities, and region. The search results are color coded for easy reference and displayed on a map, as well as in a list format below the map. By simply typing in an address, city name or attraction in any of dozens of languages, the user can immediately see which stations are nearby including distance and direction, which routes are served at each station and a direct link to the transportation company’s website. “If the map is a bit too clustered in large cities”, says Graziano, “it’s no problem. The large colored icons to the left of the map can easily toggle on or off each mode of transportation.” The next stage category to be added will be for public transportation options at any given airport.

The addition of the “Air Taxi” category to the search results displayed on GoScopia.com, offers Scopia Technologies a step forward into the private jet charter industry, since there is a great need by the operators to increase public awareness of their product. GoScopia.com is also a destination-specific advertising platform for hotels, tours, visa services, attraction tickets, rail passes, travel insurance, local tour operators and many others.

According to Graziano, “GoScopia.com is an inexpensive global marketing platform for air charter and air taxi operators, since it allows companies to advertise their services as a pinpoint solution for a traveler’s specific need. In other words, it’s how a small air charter can put the right offer in front of the right customer at the right time.”

Scopia Technologies and its site goscopia.com deliver door-to-door travel solutions for the on-line customer. Users have the ability to search individual destinations and discover the multi-modal travel options that will save them time and money. It is a unique service using patent-pending technology to aggregate transportation modes, schedules and travel services specific to the origin and destination(s) from and to which the Scopia user is planning to travel. The company is currently exploring possibilities of developing a mobile platform which will allow users to find and book nearby travel related products “on the go”.
