WHAT: Thermo Fisher Scientific Forum – A Yahara Watershed Initiative.

WHO: Invited scientists, engineers, government representatives, and those invested in the cleaning of the Yahara Watershed will be in attendance, or participating, in a forum hosted by Clean Lakes Alliance and Stephan R. Carpenter, Director, and Stephan Alfred Forbes, Professor, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Center for Limnology.

WHEN: Friday, February 25, 2011, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

WHERE: Edgewater Hotel, 666 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, WI 53703

WHY: To identify the highest priority needs, feasibility and cost effective steps needed to be taken to improve the water quality in the Yahara Watershed. Identifying the steps will be the professionals who live and work in the community and regularly study the waterway.

The Clean Lakes Alliance (CLA) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization dedicated to the improvement and protection of the lakes, streams and wetlands in the Yahara Watershed. Through community support, advocacy and education, CLA is leading the charge to restore and protect the lakes for future generations.
