AT&T Wisconsin: Support of the Japanese recovery efforts

Dear Friends:

In light of last week’s tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan, AT&T* has teamed up with the American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan by collecting donations from customers to help provide food, shelter, counseling and other assistance to victims of the disaster. To make a $10 donation to the Red Cross, AT&T wireless customers can text REDCROSS to 90999 to support the people affected in Japan. No text message fees will apply.

In addition to the Red Cross donation, AT&T has implemented a number of efforts to support U.S. residential, wireline and wireless consumers trying to connect with loved ones in Japan:

AT&T is offering wireless billing relief for consumers calling and texting family and friends in Japan. Beginning last week, March 11, and continuing through March 31, AT&T wireless postpaid customers will not be charged for international long distance usage from the U.S. and Puerto Rico to Japan. This includes text messages to Japan that originated from a U.S. wireless number.

Also effective March 11 through March 31, residential wireline customers are eligible for up to 60 minutes of free calling time for calls from the United States to Japan. On receiving their wireline bill, customers must call AT&T to receive billing adjustments of up to 60 minutes.

AT&T has made TV Japan, the 24-hour Japanese news channel, available for free to all U-verse® TV subscribers so they can keep up with the latest news and recovery efforts from Japan. TV Japan is available to all U-verse TV customers for free through March 17 on channel 3680.

Sincerely,

Scott T. VanderSanden
