Washington DC – With Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig and team owners set to meet this week in Milwaukee, a new ad from Americans United for Change begins today on Milwaukee sports radio stations recommending that their first order of business be severing MLB’s reported business ties with hate mongering media personality Glenn Beck. See script below for ‘Strike Out Beck’ airing this week on 540 ESPN Milwaukee and WSSP-AM, and listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO5gHjRXegM&feature=youtu.be

The ad represents the latest phase of the ‘Strike Out Beck’ campaign that Americans United for Change kicked off last month in response to the disappointing news that MLB Advanced Media, the interactive arm of Major League Baseball, is providing Beck with their coveted online streaming video platform to stream his daily “GBTV” show. In addition to launching the website http://www.StrikeOutBeck.com featuring a video of just some of the disgusting low-lights of Beck’s broadcast career, AUFC ran ads on Facebook encouraging baseball fans to visit the website and sign a petition calling on MLB owners to drop Beck from their lineup today – an effort that has so far garnered over 11,000 signatures from across the country.

Tom McMahon, Executive Director, Americans United for Change: “We hope that MLB will listen to the thousands of Americans who have joined this campaign to strike out hate. It’s disheartening that Major League Baseball, with its proud history of inclusiveness and diversity, would be the ones providing the platform for Glenn Beck to build upon his history of divisiveness, bigotry and disrespect for families of 9-11 victims.”

SCRIPT “Strike Out Beck” (Radio :60)

When Bud Selig and MLB’s owners meet this week, first order of business should be … Glenn Beck.

Yes, that Glenn Beck — the Major League Leader in Hate.

Beck: “Women are psychos”

Beck: “Get off my phone you little pinhead – get off my phone!!!”

Glenn Beck is so extreme, he even attached the 9/11 victims families…

Beck: “I didn’t think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims. When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh shut up’ I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining.”

No wonder nearly 400 sponsors boycotted Beck’s TV show before the plug was pulled.

But just when we thought we’d heard the last of Glenn, guess who pulled him off the bench.

[PLAY BALL!]

That’s right – Major League Baseball. MLB media is providing Glenn Beck with the online technology to spread his hate-filled propaganda on the internet.

America’s Game has teamed up with America’s shame.

Say It Ain’t So, Major League baseball.

Visit StrikeOutBeck.com to tell MLB that baseball is no home for Glenn Beck’s hate.
