Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association: Dr. Steve Erickson begins term as WVMA president

Dr. Steve Erickson assumed the presidency of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA) at its 95th Annual Convention on Friday, Oct. 8. He will serve as president for one year.

Dr. Erickson received his bachelor’s in biology at University of Minnesota-Duluth and his master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-

Lacrosse. He then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine where he was a member of the first graduating class in 1987. Dr. Erickson and his wife, Deb, reside in Middleton where Dr. Erickson practices small animal medicine and is partner at All Pets Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Erickson has remained an active participant in organized veterinary medicine as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the WVMA.

In the WVMA, Dr. Erickson has served on the legislative, grievance and the veterinary technician committee.

He currently serves on the budget and auditing committee for the WVMA and also on the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine Board of Visitors. He is a past member of the Executive Board representing District 5 and the Wisconsin Academy of Graduate Service Dogs (WAGS) Board of Directors. About Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association
