Wis. Sustainable Business Council Conference: Miron Construction to be keynote speaker

Neenah, WI – December 8th, 2010: The WI Sustainable Business Council Conference is pleased to announce the lineup of sessions for the 3rd Annual Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Conference.

Corey Brumbaugh and Theresa Lehman of Miron Construction in Neenah Wisconsin will offer the keynote address‐ Embracing Sustainability, with a welcome by David Voss the CEO. Miron Construction uses the triple bottom line: People, Planet and Profit, to guide both internal organization and external projects with clients of all sizes. “We [Miron] have been a leader in an uphill challenge. Recognizing there is still a road ahead, how will you embrace sustainability to enhance the health and well being of people, reduce environmental impacts, and contribute to economic success?” says Theresa Lehman the director of sustainable services for Miron construction. Miron’s sustainable mission is “to lead by example to demonstrate the benefits of the Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet and Payback through education, corporate culture and practical construction solutions.”

Breakout sessions will be held throughout the day. Each session is designed to provide pragmatic tools presented by business leaders who have made sustainable changes tied to the triple bottom line. Speakers from variety of businesses around the state will discuss their efforts in sustainability and offer insights into sustainable practices.

The conference closing address will end with a panel discussion by Pam Barker of Appleton Papers, and Rollie Stephenson of Faith Technologies discussing Beyond Environmental Sustainability – How and Why To Integrate Safety, Health, Governance, Labor and Ethics issues into your sustainability agenda.

The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Conference will be held December 8th, 2010 in Neenah Wisconsin from 7:45am to 6:00pm at Miron Construction (1471 Mcmahon Dr. Neenah, WI 54956‐6305). Each session delivers take‐away lessons and pragmatic tools.
