New North: Panel session focuses on starting a technology business in northeast Wisconsin

“Starting a Technology Business in Northeast Wisconsin” will be the topic of a panel discussion by local technology industry veterans on June 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room BI326 of the Business and Information Technology Center at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.

Hosted by New North Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council, the panel discussion will provide an in-depth look at the opportunities and challenges for launching a technology business based in Northeast Wisconsin. The program is part of the New North SB&EC’s quarterly Best Practices Panel Series and there is no cost to attend.

Confirmed panelists include Scott Kaffernus, the founder of freshpaintdigital, LLC of Green Bay; Dustin White, one of the founders of Stellar Blue Web Design, LLC of Menasha; and Thomas Frank, an Appleton-based medical device inventor and entrepreneur. Additional panelists may include New North entrepreneurs who have grown their technology businesses into multi-million dollar ventures.

Each of the panelists will discuss how they successfully launched ventures that now market technology-based products and services to regional, national and international markets. Although there is no cost to attend, registration is encouraged. To register, contact Alex Kowalski at akowalski@infoprofessionals.com.
