Meyer & Wallis: After 43 years, new ownership and leadership at Milwaukee marketing agency

Milwaukee, WI, April 27, 2010 — Chris Mortenson has been named CEO and has purchased a majority stake in one of the Milwaukee’s oldest marketing agencies, Meyer & Wallis, from founder Bob Meyer who left the agency to retire. Susan Spaight joins the agency’s leadership team as a partner.

Mortenson, who started at Meyer & Wallis in 2007 as president, brings over 30 years of deep experience in consumer packaged goods where he managed sales and marketing for many big name brands from Oscar Mayer to ConAgra to Coleman Natural Foods.

Spaight, the agency’s vice president of Account Management/Digital Strategy, joined Meyer & Wallis in mid-2009 and has more than 20 years experience developing marketing strategy and expertise in digital programs including strategic social web and interactive marketing campaigns.

They agency also made Shannon Safar, who leads their Indianapolis office, a partner. Meyer & Wallis’ leadership team includes existing partners Tim Wallis and Tom Dixon, two of the industry’s most accomplished and award-winning creative directors.
